Brandt will never park his FXRT-inspired Covid-19 monster next to an identical bike …

Back in 1983 Harley-Davidson introduced the FXRT, “A new, sporty, touring bike” featuring a mid-sized fairing and hard saddlebags mounted on the Erik Buell-designed FXR frame that is still famous for great handling. Not your typical biker Harley-Davidson, much more like a CHiPS police bike, however it was a better handling and faster H-D that was more comfortable over long distances.
What we have here is Brandt’s modern-day FXRT, complete with detachable hardcase saddlebags for the long trips, and purpose built to the extreme for better handling and speed.
This behemoth was built by Colin and Mick from Geelong Harley-Davidson as a purpose-built track bike. The fully dialled suspension dampers are adjustable Ohlins set up by Kevin at Big Bear Choppers in San Bernardino California, who they claim is the best in the business. The 131 cubic inch (2151cc) Milwaukee 8 hammers out 167 rear wheel horsepower through lightweight racing wheels and sticky sport tyres that provide the grip for massive amounts of torque at the rear. The rear has been significantly raised for handling advantages as this bike was built to compete on racing circuits against sports bikes.
