BAJAJ CT125 COMMUTER, LEARNER OR COMMERCIAL?

We get whisked away to exotic destinations to be wined, dined and entertained by importers while we get to sample the latest and greatest new bikes on offer. At least that’s what readers think when they read our publications. So, whilst that might be true, that is but one part of our jobs. In reality, we have to ride and report on anything and everything which comes our way, no matter how big or small.

Enter stage left, the Bajaj CT125, looking spiffy in black, with red and silver accents. Now, to digress a bit first, when I was a laaitie (back when Moses was still around), I started my biking journey on a 50cc Yamaha FS1 (know overseas as the ‘Fizzy’). I then moved on to a Suzuki A100, then a Suzuki GS450, which was followed by a Suzuki GSX750E (which I started racing with in the early 80’s) and then onto a Katana 1100. So I was quite curious to try out the Bajaj, because not everyone has either the skill and/or the finances to jump straight onto a big bike. Looking at the bike, it has some nice touches styling-wise, the little handlebar-mounted bikini fairing upfront sets the tone for the sleek styling through to the neat little upswept tailpiece which has a hand grabrail above it for passenger use, and as additional tying points for luggage.
