UK To Benefit From £20m On‑Street Charge Point Funding
AutoVolt Magazine
|Issue 32
LOCAL authorities have been urged to take advantage of a £20m UK government cash injection which will boost the number of on-street EV charge points.
-

According to government sources, the funding may double the number of on-street charging points enjoying its support to almost 8,000. UK transport secretary Grant Shapps announced the funding and the continuation of the On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS) on 2 February 2021.
In partnership with the Energy Saving Trust, the Department for Transport is welcoming applications from councils which are yet to apply for funding, as well as those that have already benefitted.
