New Porsche 911 Drops Its Top

After only four months since the launch of the Coupe, Porsche un-veiled the new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet with the most technically advanced roof design, new interior, enhanced power and newly developed 8-speed dual clutch transmission.

Porsche claims that the roof design is now lighter than before and closes in just 12 seconds at a driving speed of up to 50kmph. The front end of the new 911 is very similar to the G-Series from the 1970s as the forward-extended bonnet gets a recess in front of the windscreen that gives the cabriolet a long face. The LED headlights are also newly developed as it gets integrated into the wings to form the typical 911 round and upright form. While the wheelbase remains unchanged, the 911 cabriolet is longer by 20mm and wider by 45mm. The rear of the 911
