Water is the source of all life. It supports civilizations, shapes the environment, and is critical for our survival. Rivers, one of the primary sources of water for all things living, are central to the functioning of society and dams help harness their potential further. India has more than 3,000 major or medium dams and barrages supporting its residents with power supply, agricultural activity, flood mitigation and water supply. Our focus for the third edition of the Pride of India series with Hyundai is the Tehri Dam. An engineering marvel and the tallest dam in India, the Tehri Dam sits nestled in the mountains of Uttarakhand just over 300km from New Delhi. Accompanying us on this journey was one of India’s favourite compact SUVs, the Hyundai Venue.
