Get Ready For Kia

One year and four months after the debut of the SP Concept, Kia is finally ready with the production version of the SUV that will be the flag bearer of its India operations. The Seltos, a portmanteau of Speed and Celtos, son of Hercules, is a C-segment SUV that will carry the weight of establishing Kia in India. Being Kia’s first product for the Indian market, expectations are naturally high. The Seltos has to score well on looks, features and offer sufficiently potent engine options. And based on our first look at the Seltos, Kia seems to have struck all the right chords. The design makes a very strong impression. It seems to have the right proportions and an imposing fascia that is essential to any SUV. Kudos to Kia’s designers for retaining so much of the SP Concept’s design elements.
