Total Oil Makes India Tech Hub

In its effort to increase presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Total S.A. has turned India into a tech hub.
Total S A, which is present in 150 countries, has announced that India will be its tech hub for the Asia-Pacific region. Called the Technical Centre Asia Pacific (TCAP), the tech hub is in Navi Mumbai, and is a part of Total’s Indian subsidiary, Total Oil India Pvt. Ltd (TOIPL). It will provide technical assistance, and conduct research and development activities.
According to Frank Eydoux, Managing Director, Total Marketing and Services Research Center, TCAP should enable Total to move closer to its customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Set up in 2012, TCAP, as part of TOIPL, commenced operations from 2014. It took thus far to bring the hub up to cater to the needs of the Asia-Pacific region to carry out research and development activities in the areas of lubricants, special fluids (solvents), fuel additives and fuels.
