EXCON 2019: A STELLAR SHOW

Held in Bengaluru at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the 10th edition of Excon was a stellar show. Drawing participation from 1250 exhibitors including the presence of 390 exhibitors from 21 foreign countries, South Asia’s largest construction equipment and construction technology trade fair, Excon saw a slew of new product launches, with happy customers taking possession of their new equipment. Themed as ‘Smart i-tech- Next Gen India@75’, the show rode high on the momentum of the construction equipment and components industry and offered multiple local and global opportunities to the new players in the market. With the participation from the Indian component industry manufacturers who vouched for the potential of a robust growth story in 2020, the show hinted that innovation and the ability to reinvent are keys to stay ahead in the market.

With the reliability and quality of the equipment directly based on the technological advancements in the design and manufacture of components, the show focused a great deal on the components industry as a significant contributor. To support this context, CII held a conference on components ‘Shaping the future of Construction Equipment Industry’. The conference was majorly directed towards highlighting the role of components in the construction equipment industry. Innovation and technology development, smart and safe technology, additive tech and IoT transforming components, R&D and Skills for the Future were the highlights this year at Excon. The conference concluded on a high note lauding CE components manufacturers for thriving in a competitive market due to high quality standards.
