DICV Turns 5; Launches Euro-V Ready Medium-Duty Trucks

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) celebrates its fifth anniversary of the market launch of BharatBenz trucks.

So far more than 55,000 trucks have been delivered to customers across India. Its BS IV truck, which comes with SCR technology, has attracted more customers and to meet the demand, DICV has started its second shift at its truck plant at Oragadam near Chennai.

The increase in capacity will help DICV’s export business. The company has exported more than 10,000 trucks since 2013 and will serve 40 markets by 2018. Committed to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) level by 40%, DICV has launched and handed over its first Euro-V ready medium-duty trucks to its customers.
