How to develop right attitudes?

I was recently attending a training programme conducted by a renowned resource person. After his presentation, one of the participants working in a top MNC raised his queries, during the question answer session.

“I joined an MNC as a trainee and after 30 years of my service I have become one of the vice presidents in the same MNC. I had very high interest and enthusiasm initially, which I find slowly waning. With the family - the same family with the same caring wife and two loving children - my interest and involvement never dwindle out. Why? Can you clarify please?”

Instead of answering him directly, the resource person asked him a few questions:

''Who prepares food for you at home? Your wife or your mother?''

''My wife'' came the answer.

''Will you say your wife cooks the food or serves the food?''

''Cooking is secondary. Even a paid cook can prepare the food. But my wife serves the food with at most care which makes all the difference.''
