Artist, father, husband and entrepreneur, Keith Zenda was born into a rural family with four siblings in Chirumanzu, Zimbabwe. After the death of his father, he was raised by his mother and from the age of 10 became the head of the household. A natural provider and nurturer, Keith is still involved in uplifting those less fortunate than him. For more than a decade he has been peddling his artworks, sometimes against all the odds, across borders from Tanzania, Botswana and Mozambique to Cape Town, evoking respect and admiration from all those who meet this hard-working talent.

Keith currently works from his home studio in Zimbabwe, and frequently travels to South Africa, where he occasionally paints. “At present, I am busy with a very exciting project. I purchased land in the rural area where I grew up and where my family and I still live. I am constructing an art centre as well as a community centre. The idea behind this project is to promote art and culture. A centre to teach, inspire and uplift the local community. Surrounded by our beautiful and tranquil rural environment, it is also intended to be self-sustainable by growing produce in the gardens and hosting various markets in the future. I am looking forward to completing the project in 2020.”
Keith’s artistic talent was recognised at age six when he began drawing charts to decorate his Primary School classroom. It was not until age 16 that he began painting, and after completing Secondary School in 2006 he followed his passion f
