PW: What do you find is your favourite thing about storm chasing?

CE: there is the obvious thrill of the chase, but you never know where you will end up, who you will meet and what is going to happen. With the weather being so unpredictable, you never know what you’re going to get. the aim of the chase for me is to capture lightning, but some cloud formations topped with amazing scenery can be just as rewarding.

How do you predict where a storm is likely to be?

There are many groups, both online and in communities, where you can talk to people with the same interest. for example, I have linked up with www. perthweatherlive.com, a community based weather information website. We share information, predictions, locations and images between all of us, which is nothing short of amazing at assisting us to be in the right place at the right time.

How do you ensure you get the shot?
