The issue of heatwaves is increasingly becoming a cause of concern in the cities of Vietnam and is expected to intensify further in the future. The team of designers at AREP, a French multidisciplinary firm, has designed an urban cooling device that uses neither any coolant gas nor energy, offering a potential solution to this problem. For this, they drew upon a concept that dates back centuries - the adiabatic principle. “Adiabatic cooling is a sustainable technique which does not require any coolant gas.
