SEIB are drawing on experience to be here to help through these uncertain times and beyond
-

CEO and company founder Barry Fehler started SEIB nearly 60 years ago as a brokerage for home, car, and life insurance. It was the purchase of a former hunter chaser, Princes Street, that led to the company offering equestrian policies. A lifelong equestrian enthusiast, Barry spotted a dark bay horse being unloaded from a lorry at the South of England Show back in the late 1960s and made an offer to buy him.
Barry says: “Princes Street was an expensive horse. When I went to insure him, there were very few equine policies on offer and none that provided the cover I was looking for – loss of use. I decided to go to market with my requirements and SEIB became the first company to through these uncertain to specialise in equestrian insurance. To this day, our business is based on speaking to our customers to find out what is important to them in order to determine the cover they need. As a company, we pride ourselves on our ability to arrange policies to meet our customers’ needs.”
