Digital Dressage Trainer

Online dressage trainer Peter Dove on the value of digital lessons, explaining the jargon – and the thrill of live magic
I knew nothing about horses until I was 18. My main interests were IT and chess. Then I got a horsey girlfriend so I learnt to ride, trained for British Horse Society stage exams, did Mary Wanless’s Ride with your Mind courses and eventually began teaching. Later on, I realised I could combine this with my IT knowledge and produce digital training.
Master Dressage was initially a Facebook community. I built a good audience (now around 125,000 followers) with videos and sections of my book by the same name and that became our first digital course. Now it’s a sustainable business through our final platform dressage training.tv
We have some 2,000 members; some buying one-off courses, but others paying £17.50 a month to access all our content, keeping seven of us employed.
People can pick what they want to study, but we aim to provide a system you can use from the ground all the way through to competition.
