Turning a house into a home
-

We are Toby and Todd, and we needed a home to call our own. We’re two handsome, loving Africanis-type dogs, and we were then just over a year old.
As little pups we went to a few foster homes, and boy, was it nice to be surrounded by hoomans and other doggos. We also enjoyed playing with cats.
Then we were sent to what is known as a “kennel facility” – an enclosure to keep us safe since we didn’t have a home. Even though we had each other, it still got pretty lonely, and we didn’t have space to run around or people to give our love to, which made us quite sad. We were still too little to understand why we always had to return to our kennel.
The volunteers of PACT were the only family we knew, but the love and affection they gave us at every kennel visit was the best, and we wished that we could have that love and attention every day.
