FROM YAWN LAWN TO BARK PARK
Buddy Life
|January - March 2021
Noida to get its first dog park soon and it promises to be everything the four-legged could ask for, including separate play areas for small & big dogs

If city-dwelling dog owners know one thing, it’s that their pups need a place to run and play. Dog lovers enjoy watching their four-legged furry friends run and play outdoors, and dog parks are the ideal places to let them socialize in a safe environment. These parks can vary significantly in their levels of challenge and amenities much like playgrounds. Here’s welcome news for Noida dog parents as a dog park is finally becoming a reality. Thanks to Ms. Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, a two-acre dog park will come up in Sector-137 soon. According to an official, a private contractor would be hired for developing the park within the next six months. The park would have many facilities, including kiosks selling food for dogs and a center for the treatment of dogs’ ailments. Of course, you need to pay for these services. What we look forward to, however, is a combination of dog drinking fountains, green turf, trees for shade, pea gravel, and concrete, and lots of space for seating, romping, and games of fetch. Plus, small and large dogs should get separate play areas. It’ll be really wonderful if it hosts a variety of structures and agility course obstacles, including teeter-totters, tunnels, hoops, A-frame ramps, tire hills, and more. Since Noida is known for providing state-ofthe-art facilities to its residents, it’ll be really nice if we had a deluxe, self-service dog washing station to rinse off sandy pups before getting back in the car.
