Yilena Hernandez

What does being a Playboy cover model mean to you?

This is more like an hallucination, fantasy that has come to life. I've always wanted to be part of something meaningful, something that shines and spread out. Being on this cover is just that. It means more than plenty to me.

What is your biggest modeling goal?

As a model and influencer, one of my main goals is to stay different and become much more relevant. We, as models, serve a major purpose. I want not only to be summit of it all, but also to be a bump for those that lack of beliefs and self confidence.

We hear you grew up in Cuba, what was that like?

Growing in Cuba is a blessing! It's tough, rough, edgy, very painful sometimes, yet it shapes you in the perfect form for the lights to come guide you in the proper direction. The utmost part is the self belief. Growing in Cuba taught that if I can make it there, I can make it anywhere.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I’d pick Dubai and also the next couple of times I probably will be ask that question. It's exquisite and luxurious there. That confirms the authenticity, the perfection, the beauty of things there. It's marvelous and I want to keep on top of the list of all.
