Our very first edition this October celebrates Africa. In line with our theme, our lead story tracks the life of Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe, businesswoman and African fashion champion. She understands that power is not just about money, and that true wealth is measured by the legacy she leaves. Also in this edition we hear first-hand from Gloria Serobe, founding member of South Africa’s first women’s investment company, as she retraces her tentative steps into the world of high finance nearly 20 years ago. In our story on entrepreneurs, Suzan Oelofse, the president of the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa, argues that women bring something special, something extra, to the world of business. But columnist Fikile Ntsikelelo Moya begs to differ and punches above his weight in his column Left Hook. The debate about whether or not women are innately good leaders because of our gender is one that Forbes Woman Africa welcomes.
