On the cover of our August 2024 issue is Rebecca Armstrong, the Thai-British actress and singer, who first burst onto the scene with her lead role in “Gap: The Series”, Thailand’s first GL television production. Since then the actor better known as Becky has been on a winning streak, starring in hit shows from “Long Live Love” to the upcoming “The Loyal Pin” and “Uranus 2324”. Lensed by photographer Chee Wei and styled by Senior Fashion Stylist Kelly Hsu for the cover shoot, Becky carries the latest novelties as well as the timeless accessories from German luxury label Montblanc’s Extreme 3.0 collection. Becky also wears some of the most stylish looks of the season, with fits from Polo Ralph Lauren, Loro Piana and Tod’s. For this issue's theme of “Bright Young Things'', we feature the best and brightest young creatives on the scene: interviews with Taiwanese-American drag performer and winner of the 16th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Nymphia Wind, and with the selfie-stick-wielding, touring Tiktok sensation Devin Halbal. In celebration of National Day, we also spotlight seven local talents, including some brilliant actors, creatives and social media stars who are each adding their sparkle to the Lion City’s creative sphere. Another trailblazer that we connect with this August is Dr. Lynne Lim, the founder of medtech startup NousQ and the Cartier Women's Initiative Science & Technology Pioneer Award winner, on female entrepreneurship in the STEM workspace.
