Come! And go!
God is at work in all dimensions of human life. In faith, we believe that He continues to recreate us with His mercy and life-giving Spirit, thus empowering us to live fully the missionary mandate entrusted to us “to go and make disciples of all nations.” Gone is the time when we think of God’s action as something reserved for a privileged moment and place – liturgy in liturgical places. We have all become aware of the dynamic relationship that exists between liturgy and mission. We gather in answer to His invitation, “Come to me,” only to renew our commitment to “go forth” into the world.

Come! And go! These are not two opposite directions but one – the only dynamic way God works in our lives and, through us, in the world today. He summons us to Him in ‘missional worship’ to give us rest, forgiveness, consolation, refreshment, nurturance and instill in us His Spirit which no walls of any worshipful place can confine. And, in ‘worshipful mission,’ He sends us out to continue participating in God’s work in the world..
