On our cover is Dato Koh Yaw Hui, Director and CEO of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad, the country’s oldest and largest insurance company. In his 12 years in the business, he has had to overcome personal hurdles and, in the process, propelling him and his team to envision a new, industry-changing approach to the business of insurance. In this issue, he happily states that Great Eastern Life has innovated itself – going from a Life Insurer into a Life Company. He points out the many aspects of life in which the organisation now provides support for its client base of some 2.9 million Malaysians.
