After five years, we have a lot to rejoice about, but at the same time, a lot more remains to be done to put our country on par with some of the developed countries in this part of the world, says Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and Media.

Inspite of the fact that 1999 has been a good year for tourism, there is much concern as to whether Sri Lanka is being marketed accurately as a tourist destination. Leading industry figures voice their opinion on what is necessary to keep up the positive momentum.
