Wimal Weerawansa MP is the leader of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna, and is a partner of the alliance of UPFA of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Having supported the President since 2005, Wimal Weerawansa spoke about the importance of re-electing President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the 2010 Presidential elections. He stressed the need to support the President as the country moves towards eliminating poverty and reaching developed status during the next decade.

Shasheendra Rajapaksa is a leader of the next generation. He is the first third generation member to enter active politics from the family of the late D A Rajapaksa. He rose to the limelight with the Uva Provincial Council elections where he made history by acquiring 85% of the preferential votes as a newcomer to the political arena. He is the Basnayake Nile of the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devale and the Private Secretary to the President while being the Chief Minister of the Uva Province.

Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka is the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources. He is a member of the Jathika Hela Urumaya, which is an alliance partner of the UPFA. Having played a pivotal role in holding Presidential elections, in 2005, the JHU has been a constant support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Ven Uduwe Dhammaloka is the voice of reason amidst the political furore that governs our country. He is an Independent Member of Parliament who voices his concerns to ensure the betterment of all communities.
