The cover story in our latest edition—Independence Day Special—is about Bharat Forge and how it embodies the rise of India’s defence industry.
The company expects its defence vertical to likely eclipse the core auto components business as the largest in the group in terms of revenue. There is widespread expectation that the Indian armed forces will be doing a lot of purchases and that the defence budget might rise above the 1.9 percent of GDP as in the last Union Budget.
There are also stories on anonymous Indian artisans leaving a mark on the global fashion ramp, and how startups in Kashmir are solving issues of access. That apart, we also have a photo feature, highlighting India’s progress and achievements in the last year.
