I dette nummeret

On the cover of our annual Sports Watches issue is the newly resuscitated brand Favre Leuba's Deep Blue Renaissance, a watch that's a modern rendition of the 1964 professional diver’s watch of the same name. Under the leadership of industry veteran Patrik Hoffmann, Favre Leuba, which has a strong history of diving watches, is set to bring back its glory days - we've delved deep into the design and history of the brand in the story ‘Tradition Reborn’, and explored how the Deep Blue Renaissance personifies this much-talked-about rebirth.

This new issue also aims to capture what the 2024 landscape of sports watches looked like. We've explored innovation in sports watches, in the story 'In it to Win It', while in 'High Dive' we've written in detail about the dive watch we found to be most exciting - Singer Reimagined's Divetrack. We've conversed with legends - the Father of G-Shock Kikuo Ibe speaks about the iconic design he never dreamt he would create; CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué discusses with us the terror and joy of Panerai's Experience Edition watches; and wildlife conservationist Dean Schneider talks about raising a pride of lions and collaborating with NORQAIN on a collection. We've covered Victorinox's manufacture in Delemont and its repertoire of watches inspired by the Swiss Army Knife, and our collector feature is with the Thrissur-based Dr Vijay Jayan, whose watch wardrobe (yes, wardrobe, not box) has over a 1000 watches with nearly 500 of them G-Shocks. Our reviews section looks at Blancpain's Bathyscaphe Quantieme Complete Phases de Lune and the TAG Heuer Monaco Split -Seconds Chronograph.
