I dette nummeret
Spirituality is a view of humanity that transcends systemic and religious concepts. Humanity is a culture. Neo-spirituality based on humanity must also be a correction of contemporary socio-political and religious systems. In this age where the religious-political systems of tyranny, domination, and exploitation are gaining strength and secular democratic human values are being undermined, the need of the hour is to discover and nurture neo-spirituality. The politics of neo-spiritualism is the popular convictions and movements that must emerge based on eco-democratic humanitarian values against the political domination of communal casteism.
Religions assimilate into each other as they acquire the characteristics and vigor and power of partisan politics, while political parties acquire the means of exploitative domination of religion.
The mutual inclination and division between religious and political leaders in this age of elections exposes this unholy relationship. How can the path to neo-spirituality be shaped by social justice, pro-democracy, non-sectarianism, and environmental justice? An assessment of contemporary religious and political contexts.
