Radiology Special
The medical imaging sector has been witnessing exponential growth due to imaging products like CT, MR, ultrasound, BMD and X-Ray. The fastest growing segment, the Indian MRI market, was estimated to be at Rs.1200 crore in 2014. The 1.5 T systems continue to dominate the segment, with the discerning customer opting for 3 T systems. The market for CT, which had seen sluggish growth in recent years, is now beginning to expand with both multi-modality imaging and dose reduction contributing significantly to growth.
Even the nuclear imaging equipment, which covers positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) systems, will expand at a modest CAGR of 3.3 percent, to reach Rs. 13,200 crore by 2020, according to GlobalData.
The article would cover the growth of the radiology and imaging segment as well as trends in the sector.

Infrastructure
Planning grids are the basic tools of architectural design. Often, they are the first step of the design process that gets drafted out on a blank sheet of paper, or nowadays, a blank computer screen. Most of the time, they serve as the guideline for the structure of the building, which, in the modern age, is based on post-and-beam construction.
