Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Surat Diamond Bourse, the world’s largest and modern centre for international diamond and jewellery business. Modi inaugurated Surat Diamond Bourse shortly after inaugurating a new integrated terminal building at the Surat airport, which is equipped to handle 1,200 domestic passengers and 600 international passengers during peak hours and has a provision for further increasing the peak hour capacity to 3,000 passengers with the annual handling capacity increasing to 55 lakh passengers.

GJEPC has successfully enlisted the IIJS Signature 2024 Exhibition under the “Procurement and Marketing Support” scheme of the Ministry of MSME. The scheme provides financial assistance to micro and small enterprises for participating in domestic and international trade fairs and exhibitions. As a result, the eligible exhibitors can now avail themselves of a grant of `1.50 lakh each, which will help them cover costs and enhance their visibility and competitiveness in the global market.
