Hello and welcome to the September issue of T&D digital edition. We’ve got a great mix of stuff for you to enjoy this month and we’re delighted to have some excellent new Renault Range-Ts from Bennett’s as Editor’s Choice. There are more great new trucks to read about too, from CH Bird’s impressive new Daf XG+ and Nicwood’s flagship Daf XF Super Space.
We also went to see Davis Track Hire who run a fleet of mainly drawbar crane trucks installing portable roadway. They’ve also fitted a complete welfare pod on each of the trucks, with shower, toilet and drying room! For fans of older trucks, check out the Newis heavy haul Volvos, 20 years old and still powering on. There’s a further treat for Volvo fans with the F12 of Hymas in Yorkshire.
As the show season has been in full swing there’s the impressive Dunstable Charity Convoy, classics from Gaydon and Kelsall Steam Rally. We’ve started a new feature as well, turning the spotlight on transport photographers, with first in line being Gary Chatterton.
There’s also an epic long haul diary from Murray Grant as he takes his Scania S730 all the way to Morocco in Africa and back. There’s plenty more to great stuff here too in your new T&D.
