I dette nummeret

"With summer finally here, GW celebrates with some great projects for you to enjoy, including a classic garden planter from Phil Davy; an ingenious workbench for next to nothing courtesy of Paul Chesterman; and Les Thorne turns up a storm when he makes a lovely decorative desk clock. Our cover star this month is Matthew White’s ‘Hot Rod’ plane, which he lovingly restored and topped off with a souped up handle, so it’s really raring to go!

As well as finding the time to make a planter and paint a garden gate, Phil Davy also attended the opening of Westonbirt Arboretum’s fantastic new Stil Treetop Walkway – a 13m high wooden and metal structure that provides an extraordinary view of Silk Wood.

Michael Huntley brings us the penultimate article of his ‘Small Structures’ series, which sees him building a typical garden workshop from scratch, and in ‘People & Places’, Edward Hopkins & Son cook up a kitchen, and this month’s ‘Centrefold’ is Dovetailors with their magnificent ‘Desk One’.

Roy Gollop of Lyme Bay Carvings is our featured maker - a man with a fascinating seafaring and boatbuilding past who has gone on to discover woodcarving. He shows us his wonderful driftwood carvings, which cleverly depict a variety of sealife and birds.

Andy King is also back with all the latest Kit & Tool reviews and to celebrate the launch of their new Homewoodworker videos in conjunction with Christopher Hall, 'The Gentleman Joiner’, Trend are giving away a fantastic £1,000 One4all voucher!

All this and much more in GW307, which hits the shelves on 24 June – don’t miss it!"
