I dette nummeret
This year has left many people desperate for a holiday – and if you’re an aspiring overland traveller, it may well have left you wondering if the world will ever be the same again.
So imagine what it must be like for holiday companies that specialise in overland travel. Not nice. But one of them has come up with a new idea that lets you explore the wildest parts of Scotland and Wales aboard a fully equipped Discovery 4. Celtic Routes is a new venture by the people behind Peru Safari – and in this month’s issue of The Landy, we’ve got a preview of the adventures you can have with them.
We’ve also got a parade of beautiful Land Rovers, old and new, to suit all tastes. If a Spectre 110 isn’t lairy enough for you, how about a Td5 with the same proportions but a bright yellow colour scheme? Or what about an early 90 rebuilt from scratch as a street machine with a thunderous 5.0-litre V8 TVR engine?
Best of all, many would say, is a Series III fire engine with loads of history. all its original firefighting kit and nothing more than a gentle refurb behind it. A classic in every sense.
At the gritty end of the scale, our Defender 90 project continues with more on its rear crossmember, or lack of. And we’ve got the usual set of updates on the latest news and products surrounding the Land Rover scene – from the highest tech on the latest vehicles to the simplest bits you’ll ever need when restoring an early masterpiece. It’s all in the December issue of The Landy!
The Landy Description:
Winter is upon us with its Baltic climes, treacherously icy lanes and the coolest issue on The Landy calendar hitting festively wreathed front doorsteps.
Theo James, his dog and a myriad of other random props at a seriously questionable location make up the new Range Rover Sport’s advertisement, so we poke at the ‘quirky British’ theme it boasts before heading to the first Yorkshire Hill Rally to see who dominated the leading places.
(Motor)Home is where the heart is. Or at least it was for Footloose 4x4 who created the Sherazee, a bespoke overlanding conversion that features from page 15 and who have inspired many more similar conversions. If you’re feeling like a walk down memory lane, find Rogue Vogue in our blast-from-past article detailing the life and times of this vibrant vehicle and its creator.
With our ever-reliable buyers guide, new updates from JLR and reviews of the latest accessories created to make Land Rover life even better, the Winter issue of The Landy has arrived to keep your off-road fire burning.
