Welcome to the December issue in which we celebrate all things festive. From Christmas tree lightings to New Year’s Eve parties, you’ll find an extensive round-up in the Happenings section where there are also details of a full programme of events from Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. Of course, December means it is also National Day, when we all proudly join in with events across the island.

In keeping with the season, our big feature this month highlights Festive Fare around the island. If you’re wondering where to spend Christmas Day or just fancy a mince pie and a class of something mulled, we’ve got your covered.

You’ll also find some new sections, such as Discover Bahrain, which links to a series of videos highlighting some of the island’s most iconic venues, and activities, in which we’ll be offering monthly tips on things to do around the Kingdom.
