Phew! It’s the last issue of the year and 2020 is nearly over. What should have been a jubilant year for the UAE with Expo 2020, turned somewhat sour after the outbreak of Coronavirus in Feb/March this year and like millions around the world, we went into lockdown, meaning businesses had to close or operate in a limited capacity! I don’t think many of us will be nostalgic looking back on this year but as we’ve mentioned in previous issues, we all deserve a pat on the back for overcoming the various challenges that the year threw up to us and for reinventing ourselves and the way we do business! For us at Landscape ME, that meant producing an online issue rather than our usual print edition. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers, supporters and advertisers who have stuck with us throughout the year, and we very much look forward to the year ahead, where hopefully we can relaunch the magazine print edition and continue to be the voice of the Landscape industry in the GCC. Our December issue brings the year to a close for us with some of the most interesting landscape architecture projects from around the world, including, House 00 in Ras Al-Khaimah, the obscurely named property is designed for the times that we live in, providing a retreat to isolate in! Over in Argentina, Memo House is another project that offers a private retreat surrounded by nature without physically being too distant from the city.
