"Flowers, candy, wine? He's either really celebrating or really apologizing!"

” Bobbi Phelps smiled at her brother as she showed off the cast on her arm.

“No problem. Sorry you fell off the ladder cleaning the gutters. Next time just call me. I’m a lot taller.” He opened the car door for her, then slid into the other side.

“Where to?”

Before she could answer, Bobbi’s phone rang. It was Delia Danvers, regional manager of the Lovely Ladies Jewelry company she worked for. “Oh, Bobbi, don’t bother to come pick up your box of jewelry tomorrow as we planned. They’ve all been stolen out of my garage!”

Bobbi frowned. “I’m just leaving the hospital. I had a minor accident. I'll be right over.”

As they drove, Del nodded at the Lovely Ladies pamphlet that sat between them.

“Boy, that stuff you sell sure is worth big bucks, isn’t it?” His sister nodded.
