"Technology is no substitute for humans"

I am constantly amazed by the increasing pace of technological advances – and, for the most part, I’m wholeheartedly in favour of such progress. Technology can be a wonderful thing, but it is no substitute for human interaction.

As a woman of 70, I am proud to consider myself as something of a successful silver surfer – despite not having had computer lessons at school.

So many aspects of everyday life are simplified and made more convenient by technology.

Paying for parking the car via an app eliminates the need to fumble around searching for coins, notes or cards – unless, of course, you don’t have a signal on your mobile to access the app!
