I've stopped worrying about the what ifs'

I got to my mid-50s when I truly wondered what life was about. I was a single mum struggling with the menopause, I had experienced family bereavements, and my daughter left home, which I thought was going to be great, but when it happened it hit me hard. I began to wonder what my purpose was, and decided to find out.

I still don't know why I decided to buy a motorhome. I had never been on holiday in one, never driven one, but one morning I woke up and had a eureka moment. Everyone thought I was bonkers. Aged nearly 60, I sold all my belongings and my house, and in 2019, turned the key in the ignition of my new home and drove off.
