Plummeting from the sky at speeds of up to 240 miles per hour, the UK's peregrine falcon is the fastest creature on earth. Newly fledged chicks are currently on a tough summer training programme. They practise flight by chasing their parents, who then let go of food in midair so they learn to catch on the wing.
