Stunning coastal vistas, serene spas and quaint village life await in Tropea, Italy
Looking out across the Tyrrhenian Sea from the granite and limestone clifftops surrounding Tropea, it’s easy to believe in local folklore. Legend claims it was Greek hero Hercules who created this stunning coastline in Italy’s southwest Calabria region. Now known as the Coast of the Gods, or La Costa degli Dei, the 55km stretch is truly a sight to behold. And as the jewel in its crown, charming Tropea – with a population of just under 6,000 – is bursting with authentic Italian culture, history and cuisine.
