Following her passion into the realm of fine arts, Sapna pursued post graduation in Painting. Sapna’s work fuses mythic storytelling with a contemporary artistic sensibility, creating a visual language that speaks of emotion, heritage, and human connection.

Your latest body of work is inspired by the iconic tale of Shakuntala and Dushyant. What drew you to this particular story?

I’ve always been deeply moved by the emotional depth of Shakuntala and Dushyant’s story. Their journey is a powerful blend of love, longing, fate, and reunion—all set against the backdrop of nature’s beauty and mystical landscapes. It resonates with me as both an artist and a woman. I wanted to translate those emotions—their separation, the curse, the symbolic ring, and their eventual reunion—into visual form. Each painting in the collection is part of a larger narrative thread, almost like a scene from a grand visual epic.
