The convicted hoaxer makes new claims about who was really behind her fake kidnapping

SHERRI PAPINI SHOCK 'I'M FINALLY TELLING THE TRUTH'

In November 2016, Sherri Papini faked her own kidnapping and was dubbed the real life Gone Girl, after the hit Hollywood movie.

But having admitted her claim that she was abducted and held for weeks by two masked women while out jogging in rural California was a lie, Papini is now telling a different story.

In the new documentary Sherri Papini: Caught In The Lie, the now 42-year-old claims she was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend James Reyes. In the new HBO Max doco she says she was having an emotional affair with James as her marriage to now ex-husband Keith Papini had turned “incredibly toxic.”

“The truth is, I was concealing an affair from my husband, who was threatening to take everything away from me if he found out that I was having any involvement with another man,” she claims in the documentary.

But even more bizarrely, Papini says she and James hadn't met in person until the day he allegedly grabbed her off the street and held her for 22 days.

“I remember waking up briefly in the back of the vehicle and not being able to keep my eyes open,” she said.
