It's a new season, but old tensions are as rife as ever before

Shaynna Blaze admits she's only going to get "more brutal" this year when it comes to her judging. And it's the kind of attitude that fans speculate may have prompted her co-star Scott Cam to dub her a b**ch in 2017.

While Scotty later called his comment "disrespectful" and attempted to reassure viewers the TV personalities were "good friends" soon after, there's been a noticeable distance between the pair ever since.

Now, Woman's Day can reveal that just one week into the new season airing, their ongoing tension is still being felt on Charming Street.

Onlookers couldn't help but notice they kept well apart at a Block launch event recently. And at the Logies on July 30, Scott, 60, sat at a different table from Shaynna, also 60, and the rest of The Block crew.

Now, a TV insider confirms there are indeed two camps behind the scenes on the Nine hit, with "Team Blaze" (Shaynna and her fellow judges Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker) and "Team Cam" (Scott, some producers and new judge Marty Fox) "keeping their distance when the cameras are off".

"I know Shaynna and Neale are very close, and she's not happy she didn't get a say in who replaced him," adds the spy.
