Many of us have grown up thinking that eating three meals a day is the only way, but having a regimented breakfast, lunch and dinner is not set in stone. According to clinical nutritionist and food scientist Dr Vincent Candrawinata, the notion that one size fits all is no longer being endorsed by the most recent studies.

"Some people may benefit from eating regularly three times a day, while some people may benefit from eating small portions, but do it five or six times a day," he says.

Furthermore, Dr Candrawinata says that some people live a very healthy and active life with good test results by only eating once a day. So how do we know what is best for us?
