As the long-running morning show prepares for drastic cutbacks next year, the panellists are fighting to keep their seat at the table

For over 25 years, Loose Women has been a firm favourite lunchtime TV fixture. It has amassed a loyal following of fans, with its fiery debates, topical news, chats with celebrity guests from A-list stars to politicians, plus the panellists' musings on life in general.

Now the future of the show looks in danger after ITV confirmed dramatic changes to its schedule last month, slashing the show's airtime to just 30 weeks throughout the year.

The shake-up, which also saw the Lorraine show cut from an hour to 30 minutes for 30 weeks, is reported to have taken the presenters by surprise – with many now fearful for their long-term future.

imageLoose Women has a cast of more than 20 presenters, including show veterans Coleen Nolan, 60, Ruth Langsford, 65, Kaye Adams, 62, Denise Welch, 67, and Nadia Sawalha, 60. And with the huge changes, it seems inevitable that some names could be axed from the panel altogether.

Upset and dismay

A source close to the show told us many of the stars are 'furious' and 'devastated' by the changes, which are expected to kick in next January. 'There is understandably tension bubbling behind the scenes – they are human and facing some huge changes. The
