It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that 48% of Brits treat their pets as family and kiss them, sing to them and even take them on date nights. I'm more surprised that the other 52% don't do this! Matilda, my West Highland white terrier, is my life and has been my constant companion for 15 years. I take her everywhere and constantly shower her with kisses which has been my 'pawrenting' approach with every dog I've had.
