Redemption WEDDING

A special invitation was the chance for Kerre to put a mishap behind her

When the invitation arrived in my inbox, asking if I'd like to attend the wedding of my daughter's two young friends, it's fair to say I was surprised.

Delighted, but very surprised.

The last wedding I attended ended in disaster when I went tits up on the dance floor and broke my arm in four places.

It didn't ruin the wedding, but I certainly embarrassed myself and inconvenienced a number of people.

Which is what I said to Leo and Bea when I got the invite.

But they were having none of it. "Nonsense, Kerre," they replied. "We wouldn't let you miss it for the world - it can be your redemption wedding!" One of the best things about having children is their friends.

Especially if you only have one child. Watching the friends grow from children to teens to adults, seeing them graduate from university, marry, have children, become homeowners - it's such a privilege.
