The latest high jewellery collection from Italy's Pomellato revisits three formative decades of the brand's rule-defying heritage

Milanese jeweller Pomellato has never been good at following rules.

A relatively new player in the luxury jewellery arena, the brand was founded in 1967 by Pino Rabolini, heir to his family’s goldsmith legacy. Rabolini was determined to modernise the industry, and that he did. Renowned for its free-spirited, disruptive approach to design that nonetheless remains fiercely faithful to Italian craftsmanship, Pomellato introduced a prêt-à-porter philosophy to the then-conservative world of jewellery.

Now, the brand is representing the living memory of its most defining decades with its sixth high jewellery collection. Comprising 75 pieces, Collezione 1967 unfolds in three chapters, each crystallising a signature design mood or motif that shaped Pomellato’s identity during the '70s, '80s and '90s. It’s a manifesto of the maison’s avant-garde designs, rebellious spirit and roots in Milanese goldsmithing techniques.
