I've seen it all. Some propose with flash mobs, drones, or rings hidden inside desserts. I proposed at Triyuginarayan Temple in Kedarnath (believed to be the site where Shiva married Parvati) with a ring designed with symbols of our families and our faith. No theatrics. Just two souls choosing each other. Nikki, my wife, didn't just walk into my life. She changed its direction. She made me want to become a better person.

We didn't want a big, fat Indian wedding. We wanted a full-hearted one. A love story. After all, that's what I'm known for. For someone who has filmed more than five hundred weddings, you'd imagine mine would be opulent, explosive, Bollywood-level grand. But for Nikki and me, it had to be personal. Quiet in places.
