THE $500 BILLION AI BLUEPRINT TO SHAPE A NEW WORLD ORDER
-
Stargate could redefine the boundaries of technological ambition. This $500 billion AI initiative is poised to transform the United States into the global epicenter of AI innovation, backed by OpenAI, SoftBank, and a consortium of tech giants, and it's just getting started.
THE BIRTH OF STARGATEStargate, with backers including Nvidia, Oracle, Microsoft, and Arm, is not just a data center project, but a bold vision to accelerate human progress through artificial general intelligence. The project burst onto the global stage shortly after President Trump's second inauguration, signaling a new era of American technological dominance. With an unprecedented $500 billion investment over four years, Stargate aims to build a network of massive AI data centers, starting with two facilities in Abilene, Texas, where construction is already underway. These centers, expected to be completed by May and September 2025, respectively, will serve as the backbone for training and deploying OpenAl's next-generation AI models.
The project's scale is staggering. Based on their expressed interest, the initial $100 billion deployment will fund the Texas campuses, with plans to expand to up to 16 states, including Arizona, California, Florida, and others. Each campus is designed to handle unprecedented computational loads, with the UAE Stargate, a parallel initiative in Abu Dhabi led by Emirati firm G42, boasting a 5-gigawatt capacity across 10 square miles. For context, a single gigawatt can power roughly 750,000 homes, underscoring the project's enormous energy demands.
