Ground Robots Being Developed To Combat Wildfires

In response to the escalating worldwide threat of wildfires, a team of researchers is spearheading a novel approach to firefighting by developing ground robots that are designed to scout ahead, which will help to mitigate risks to human life and property.

Led by the Silvanus Project, a collaborative initiative uniting researchers from Data61's Queensland Centre for Advanced Technologies, which is part of Australia's CSIRO, with partners from Australia, Europe, Brazil, and Indonesia, these robots are being designed to navigate hazardous landscapes with ease.
